Implementing Weekly Classroom Training

Welcome to this week’s Virtual Coach for Field Leaders! The purpose of this tool is to provide you with practical ideas and best practices on how to fully maximize the HPN University with your producers. This week we want to focus on how to leverage our Classroom Training Curriculum as a turn-key approach to training each week to save you a tremendous amount of time and energy by not having to come up with your own training content each week.

We know you’re out there busy recruiting and some of you are personally producing and the last thing you have time to do is to take a lot of preparation time to come up with content that you’re going to play on a weekly basis, so we provided you with that, a turnkey at your fingertip resource for training and coaching.

We have organized the facilitator training modules either By Topic or in a sequential curriculum. We’ve organized them “By Topic” so you can locate specific topics based on your training and development needs each week.

If you click on month one, you’ll see we’ve designed the curriculum to where the first week of every month is a sales skill topic. The second week is a product knowledge topic. The third week is always a practice management topic. And the fourth week is a motivational topic. The videos in these facilitator-led modules are longer than the usual 3-5 minute videos in the main content library. That’s good news because that means the video is going to do most of the work for you. Each Classroom training video comes with a facilitator guide right at your fingertips. These guides are designed to provide you with group discussion questions and debriefing activities.  The great thing about our facilitator guides is the fact that they are short and require little to no preparation time on your part.

In addition, anywhere we’ve provided you with a debrief question to ask, we’ve also provided you with potential responses you can expect from the group. On the last page of each facilitator guide, we’ve created a Participant Notes Worksheet so the reps can follow along and take notes around the key learning objectives.  All you have to do is print the last page of the facilitator guide and hand that page out to the trainees to keep them engaged during the video.

So, again, the nice thing about this is, the video is doing half the work for 30 minutes, and then you’ve got short facilitator guides that equip you with group discussion questions and activities so that you have an hour’s worth of content out of the box each and every week right at your fingertips.

One final point – you’ve all probably heard the saying, “You’re never a profit in your own hometown.” I’m not sure if you can relate to this or not, but field leaders are often frustrated because they can stand in front of their reps and provide great value, yet it falls on deaf ears. However, once they bring in an outside speaker who can say the exact same thing and the now it’s the greatest thing the rep has ever heard. The HPN University Facilitator Resources provides you with an extensive faculty of third-party experts to reinforce some of the key messages you’ve been delivering. Good luck and be sure to take advantage of this great resource!

We want to know what you’re doing in your day-to-day. Tag us on social media with the hashtag #HPNLife and share how you’re utilizing your HPN University subscription!

Good luck and see you next time!
